1. Who you are contracting with

These Terms & Conditions are between you and AppassistAI ("Appassist AI", "we", "us", "our"), the operator of the Appassist AI resume and cover letter tailoring service. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms. If you use the service on behalf of an organization, you confirm you are authorized to bind that organization; otherwise you confirm you are of legal age in your country.

2. The service

Appassist AI uses artificial intelligence to score how well your resume matches a job description, suggest keyword improvements, rewrite resume content, and draft cover letters and interview preparation materials. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service within the limits of your plan.

3. Your account

You must keep your login credentials confidential, provide accurate information, and are responsible for all activity under your account.

4. Acceptable use

You must not misuse the service, including:

• Unlawful use, fraud, or spam
• Infringing anyone's intellectual property rights
• Interfering with the service's security (malware, probing, scraping)
• Reverse engineering, reselling, redistributing the service, or circumventing usage limits
• Using the AI to generate illegal content, hate speech, deepfakes, or content intended to harass or deceive

5. Your content and AI outputs

You retain ownership of the resume text, job descriptions, and other content you submit ("inputs"), and of the tailored drafts produced for you ("outputs"). You grant us a limited license to host and process your content solely to provide the service. You are responsible for your prompts and inputs, for having the rights to submit them, for how you use the outputs, and for verifying their accuracy before submitting them to employers. AI outputs may contain inaccuracies and are not professional career, legal, or other regulated advice. If you believe content infringes your rights, contact us at AppassistAi@yahoo.com and we will review and remove it where appropriate; repeated infringement may result in account suspension. We may remove or restrict content, refuse or filter outputs, or suspend accounts that violate these rules.

6. Intellectual property

We own the service itself — the software, documentation, and branding. These terms do not transfer any of that to you.

7. Payments and subscriptions

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Payment, billing, tax, cancellation, and refund mechanics are governed by Paddle's Buyer Terms. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled.

8. Service availability

We work to keep the service reliable, but we do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We are not liable for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control.

9. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate your access for material breach of these terms, non-payment, security or fraud risk, or repeated or serious violations of our acceptable use rules. When access ends, your account data may be deleted after a reasonable period; export anything you want to keep beforehand.

10. Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the service is provided "as is" without implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or special damages (including lost profits, data, or goodwill), and our aggregate liability is capped at the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud, death, or personal injury where the law does not allow it. You indemnify us against claims arising from your content, your unlawful use, or your breach of these terms.

11. General

You may not assign these terms without our consent; we may assign them in connection with a merger or acquisition. These terms are governed by the laws of the United States, and disputes will be resolved in the courts with jurisdiction over our place of business, unless your local consumer law gives you different rights.
